Marie Curie Cancer Care

Stephen Martin from the Mourne Ramblers will be doing a trek in Iceland 18-22 September for Marie Curie.  25 people are needed, the group is still short of that figure.  Any volunteers to go?
It involves:

  •  3 days trekking and camping out each night.

  •  1 x 8hr and 2 x 6hr treks

  • Sponsorship of £2000 per volunteer

This trek is solely for Northern Ireland and all monies collected will stay in the province to help provide nursing services in the patients’ home and at the hospice.

Sunday, 3 August -Attik Amble, Bangor -Holywood-10 miles 
Saturday, 6 September -Crawfordsburn Country Park- Perfect Day Walk-6miles

Northern Ireland Hospice Walks
are taking place during the month of April.  If you feel like an enjoyable walk and contributing to a very worthwhile charity , have a look at their site and choose a suitable walk.

The Hike Against Cruelty to Kids (the HACK) is an annual challenge walk in aid of the NSPCC.
Walkers are set a challenge to walk in some of the most beautiful scenery in the North of England.
It is open to anyone 18 years and over who wants to prove they 'Can Hack it' whilst raising money
to fund the fight against child cruelty.

Approx 20-30 individuals from Northern Ireland will be taken to do this event.
The plan would  be to fly participants over on Friday 28th August
Depart Belfast Airport - Manchester
Coach trip to Holmfirth stay in good BB or hotel
Start HACK at 6.am Saturday total hrs 12 then return to Holmfirth good meal and rest..
Return Sunday..
For all of the above,registration fee of 12.50 plus a £100 deposit ( non refundable) to cover flight and coach hire.
