Scotland
The Great Glen Ways are a combination of routes in the greatest of all the Scottish glens. Whether you choose to travel by boot, boat or bike, you will find your 79 mile journey through magnificent Highland scenery between Fort William in the south west and Inverness in the north east a great experience. Be prepared to be dwarfed by the scenery. Wildlife will soar in the sky above you or scoot on the paths and roads in front of you, as you walk alongside three of Scotland’s greatest lochs: Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and the mighty Loch Ness.  The route is mostly low-level and follows canal towpath, forest track and minor road. There are some challenging sections though, and more experienced walkers may wish to tackle some Munros or Corbetts within easy reach of the route. There is the option of biking or canoeing sections for the more adventurous! We also run an annual Whole Way Walk each Autumn , as well as a Wild Food Workshop and two navigation courses if you are holidaying in the area.
A free printed Accommodation and Services Guide (also containing details of these events) is available on request.
